Russian President Vladimir Putin will embark on a two-day working visit to Turkmenistan to participate in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and the Caspian Environmental Summit. The gatherings are set to take place in the Awaza national tourist zone located on the Caspian Sea, with regional leaders converging to discuss cooperation and pressing issues impacting the Caspian region.
During his visit, Putin is expected to engage in a bilateral meeting with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The discussions between the two leaders are anticipated to focus on bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest, reinforcing the ongoing high-level engagement between Russia and Turkmenistan.
The summits will also see the participation of several other regional leaders, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
