Russian President Vladimir Putin has completed his first visit to the United States in nearly ten years, spending just over five hours in Alaska. The trip included a three-hour closed-door summit with US President Donald Trump, followed by joint remarks to the media.
Putin’s arrival was marked by a private discussion with Trump immediately after landing, before formal talks were held in a smaller group setting. The leaders focused on key bilateral and international issues, though no official statements detailed the agreements reached.
After the talks, Putin visited a local memorial cemetery, where he laid flowers at the graves of Soviet pilots, before departing the United States. His previous visit to the US was in September 2015 for the UN General Assembly in New York.
